Specialized Intervention Programs

Interactive Metronome

CCSH now offers a special program called Interactive Metronome! This program is designed to address neurotiming (timing of neural connections in the brain) to address cognitive, communication, sensory, and motor performance skills. Interactive metronome requires active participation of tapping hands and feet in various patterns while listening to auditory cues. This is a virtual program that provides lessons tailored to an individual’s needs to help them improve their performance.

Therapeutic Listening

CCSH offers Therapeutic Listening at our office! Therapeutic Listening is a sound-based intervention that uses electronically modified music to trigger the self-organizing capacities of the nervous system. Actively listening to the modified music can help the brain to better process other sensory input it is receiving in that moment and following the listening sessions. It involves a daily/weekly commitment to listening to the music provided by the therapist to address the needed skills.
